Aesthetics medicine live 2018
Aesthetic medicine live took place last weekend on 17th and 18th of March in London Olympia. It is an annual conference where world class speakers deliver their expert knowledge and leading businesses showcase their latest aesthetics products. Our Cosmedocs doctors Dr Haq and Dr Burke were part of this expert speaker panel at the conference. I faced the artic snow to attend the conference in Olympia. All I can say it was worth the freezing journey!!
Below are some of the latest products showcased at the exhibition this year:
1) Mesohyal
Being lover of anything skincare related, I searched high and low for the latest skin treatments…and one that really caught my eye was Mesohyal.
Mesohyal is a product line of mesotherapy solutions. Mesohyal allows cocktail of different mesotherapy solutions to offer individualised treatments to patients.
For those in the know, mesotherapy is non- surgical treatment that uses injections of vitamins, enzymes and hormones to rejuvenate and tighten skin.
WHY AM I FASCINATED?
Well, we’ve been falling in love with our PRP + Mesogun – ‘vampire facial’. Mesohyal gives us even greater option to personalise some of our treatments.
Here are the some of the available products from the line:
- mesohyal HYALURONIC – contains high concentration of hyaluronic acid giving that glow and pumping factor to skin.
- mesohyal VITAMIN C – contains vitamin c with a base of hyaluronic acid This brightens and firms the skin by increasing collagen production.
- mesohyal BIOTIN– Contains biotin and complex of vitamins and mineral salts. This aids hair growth by improving scalp health. Great for those with hair loss.
- mesohyal ORGANIC SILICON – contains organic silicon with a hyaluronic acid base. This increases skin firmness and elasticity giving you the youthful look.
- mesohyal CARNITINE – contains L-carnitine with a hyaluronic acid base. This reduces appearance of cellulite.
2) Alma Harmony XL pro and Alma Soprano ice platinum
Both Alma Harmony XL pro and Soprano ice plantinum are very popular treatmemts currently offered at our Cosmedocs Derby clinic! Why are they so popular?
Alma Harmony XL pro is a multi application platform that offers 20 laser, light and ultrasound technologies. This allows for vast array of treatment for:
- skin remodelling and anti-aging
- treatment of acne and scars
- treatment of vascular lesions

3) Heliocare 360
How do you protect your skin day to day?
Not only are UVA and UVB rays are harmful and aging to our skin but are you also aware high energy visible light, infrared and free radicals are harmful too?
Heliocare sunscreen range has upgraded to Heliocare 360 to protect from all of above. Talk about superman of suncreams!
Smart Galenic, fotoinmunoprotectora action provides comprehensive coverage against all radiations (UVB, UVA, high energy visible light and infrared-A).
Complex of Fernblock superantioxidante © FC, Vitamin C, E and green tea helps to neutralise free radicals and to maintain youthful skin. Also, presence of DNA repair enzymes reduce and repair skin damage.
Most excitingly, tinted Heliocare 360 is now available in cushion compact formulation. The colours available are in 2 shades: beige and bronze. It gives dewy light coverage. Good for busy gals like me who are on the go!
4) Optra skin analyser
Ever wanted know the real state of your skin?
Don’t ask your best friend, befriend a computerised skin analyser instead!
This skin analyser gives in-depth epidermal and dermal assessment of the skin using RGB visible light, PL polar-ized light, and UV spectrum. It analyses skin for wrinkles, acne, pores, texture, porphyrins, photo-aging and pigmented lesions. It compares patient’s skin relative to those of same age and skin type and produces a comprehensive skin report in 20 seconds.
I had fun poping my head inside this machine to have my skin analysed! It was fascinating to look at my skin in such full depth!
5) Artas Robotic hair restoration system.
Who would have thought robots would be transplanting our hair!
Artas Robotic hair restoration system is the only robotic hair transplant system in the world which harvests and transplants hair follicles onto the scalp.
What would they invent next? A robot that would cook for you? I can only wish!
