Advanced Filler & Cannula Training
Get training in gold standard and innovative approach
Advanced Filler & Cannula Training Programme
This Advanced Dermal Filler & Cannula Skills Masterclass is suitable for those who have completed and are confident in basic Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Filler techniques using needle. Whilst learning to inject with a needle forms the basic building block to aesthetic injections, the introduction of cannula work has been revolutionary in reducing side effects and complications, whilst improving patient trauma, discomfort and downtime. It is well established that cannulas can now be used in almost all areas of the face, however, the intricate work of a needle should not be underestimated and still remains a more effective choice in certain areas. Thus the aims of this course will focus on the introduction and uses of cannula but also the combination technique of using both needle and cannula work for obtaining maximum results; a gold standard approach for many aesthetic practitioners today.
The theory will cover a comprehensive level of anatomy, consultation and examination, anaesthesia, facial mapping and techniques and learning how to manage complications.
The hands-on practical will cover a range of treatments including lips, nasolabial folds and marionette lines as supervised by one of our expert aesthetic trainers. For each model that you see, you will be observed, critiqued and actively taught during the entire consultation and patient treatment procedure. You will be required to complete a Case Report form, which not only documents what you did, but also encourages reflection on the experience.
On successful completion of your training, you will be provided with a certificate of attendance and complimentary support pack. We will train you not only as a successful aesthetic practitioner but also as a business professional. After each course, you will be eligible to sign up for our free follow-up mentoring service.
We recommend that you have completed a Foundation course in Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers and have spent some time working within the industry to ensure that you are competent in the basics of needle work.
Whilst needle-work forms the basis of aesthetic injections, the revolutionary use of cannula has been well received in producing quicker, safer results whilst reducing downtime and risk of complications. The combination of needle and cannula forms the gold standard of modern Aesthetics, but you will also be taught clear indications of when one technique is more appropriate to use than the other.
Yes you can. Dermal fillers is not a prescription-only medication and therefore there is no need for a prescription.
